RTI ACT
The Right to Information Act (RTI) came into force on October 12, 2005, empowering the citizens of India to seek information from a Public Authority. The Act aims to promote accountability and transparency in the administration, to curtail corruption, and to make the Government and its functionaries more responsible in whatever they do. The RTI Act allows Indian citizens to take informed decisions, providing value to our democracy.
